A Brief Introduction
Sharm British
School provides a high quality education for students aged between two
and twelve years old, in a stimulating, caring and quality learning
environment.
Sharm British
School first opened its doors to the community of Sharm El Sheikh in
September 2005, with 34 children attending the school in Domina Coral
Bay. This number has rapidly grown to around 90 children and in 2010 the
school was moved to a new location in Halomy Road, Naama Bay.
The school is
registered, under the name of the Sharm el Sheikh Cultural Society, with
the Egyptian Ministry of Social Affairs as a non-profit entity, with a
charter "to educate foreign children in Sharm". SBS is a well
established Nursery and Primary School for children from ages 2 to 11
years, with the addition of a Year 7 class from September 2011.
The school is
staffed by a professional and dedicated team of people who, together
with the families, make Sharm British School the special place that it
is today.
Our Mission
The mission of
Sharm British School is to provide a supportive and caring environment
for all its students. Children are encouraged to reach their full academic
potential and enabled to develop physically, morally, creatively and
socially. A love of learning and positive self-image is highly valued,
as are independence and responsibility. The School ethos is underpinned
by respect and appreciation for the variety of beliefs and cultures
within our international community, as well as a pride in our British
identity.
